Citycover MOVEMBER – One Sprout at a Time! (Citycover is now part of Austbrokers Comsure)

For the first time this November, Citycover (Aust) Pty Ltd have put together a team of MOBROS!

Having experienced many friends and family go through tough times, we would like to show our support to not only Men’s Health but to all those support networks who are experiencing this with their loved ones. It’s amazing how something so small can put a smile on faces, young and old. The team at Citycover are going to give it our best shot and hopefully make a difference!


Our goal is to reach $5,000. We know and understand that many family and friends have there own MOVEMBER representatives who you will be supporting so thank you for taking the time to view our page. If you would like to support Citycover and Movember battle Men’s Health issues, this will be greatly appreciated.


  • Every hour, more than four men die from potentially preventable conditions in Australia.
  • Male deaths are greater across all age groups and the total burden of disease and injury (including premature death, ill health and disability) for males in Australia is 10% higher than for females.
  • Nearly two thirds of Australia’s population is overweight, with men being twice as likely to be overweight or obese than women.
  • 1 in 2 Australian men and 1 in 3 Australian women will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85.
  • More men have diabetes than women (4.3% of all men compared to 3.6% of all women).
  • Men are more likely to smoke than women, with about one in five men smoking compared to one in seven women.
  • In 2009, there were an estimated 19,438 new cases of prostate cancer in Australia. In 2010 more than 3,200 men died in Australia, accounting for 13.3% of all cancer deaths.
  • Excluding skin cancer, testicular cancer is the most common cancer in Australian males between the ages of 15 and 39.
  • Researchers estimate that around one in eight Australian men (1.3 million) experiences depression at any given time.
  • In any 12-month period, 1 in 5 adults (over 16) will experience at least one mental illness.


To show our appreciation for all your support, a BBQ will be provided at Citycover for the highest donating Insurer and Individual/company so be sure to Note your Company and Name if you are able to donate.

  • Insurer: All Insurer’s within the industry. The BBQ will consist of the Citycover representatives from that particular insurer (Citycover key underwriters, Claims staff & BDM/senior management)
  • Individual / Company: Any Family, Friend or client of Citycover. If the highest donation is from a company, the BBQ will consist of the director with 5 additional employees/members to attend.

All Donations are tax deductible and we all know that we love giving our accountants more work!!
