Drought, Fires, Storms, and now Floods, what’s next?

It’s an unsettling time in Australia right now, especially as our weather remains totally unpredictable. The fires have devastated many communities across Australia, storms including large hail has lashed across the East Coast, whilst North Queensland is currently experiencing huge volumes of rain causing flash-flooding.

This same time last year, South-East Queensland was defending off Cyclone Oma, as the official tropical cyclone season runs from 1st of November through to 30th of April. On average we see about 10 cyclones a year develop over Australian waters each year, and around 6 of these will cross the coastline.
